'Dancing with Tequila'
I painted this piece earlier in the year and sat with it for a long time before I decided I was happy with it (this can become a running problem for me, since nothing ever feels ready!)
I decided to use a lot of oil pastels to really give the painting dimension and texture. I wanted my character to be unbothered, but underneath, having an absolute blast.
Fast forward to now, and it is my most requested print - but it just didn't feel right until I found the right supplier to really bring this piece to life on paper.
With that being said, 'Dancing with Tequila' is now available in A3 and A2 on cold-pressed 320 gsm paper (so she is thick!). This is a limited run and I won't be restocking her in these sizes again.
If you love to dance and you love tequila, this one is for you!

NEWS FROM BEX...

SEPTEMBER UPDATES
It's Tuesday evening, and I'm sat at Mum and Dad's house reflecting on a VERY manic three months working in the US, travelling and then living in London for two weeks. I have never been SO TIRED in my life (maybe an exaggeration, but I am truly exhausted).
The two weeks in London were spent in Wandsworth at the Sophie Tea artist residency, and what a lovely time that was - thank you for everyone who voted for me!
I got to paint alongside four other talented girls from across the globe, paint all day and drink overpriced coffee - basically all my favourite things. During that time, I made some of the best work I have ever made, and it has truly lit a fire inside of my soul to keep making more art.
I also want to shout out to everyone who came along to our exhibition last week - I was really blown away by all your kind words.
This really does feel like the start of an exciting journey for me as I focus on my art and developing my skill set, whilst keeping you posted along the way.

OCTOBER UPDATES
Greetings! I can't believe I am typing this and it is already the 14th October, wtf happened?!
There are so many things going on right now, but I really wanted to share a mini update because I had a pinch-me moment last week that made me think, 'wait, can I really do this full time?!'
A few months ago I was asked to commission a painting for a brand new deli in Plymouth (called Honey & Butter), which was a very nerve-wracking but exciting opportunity. I painted the piece and then the owner asked me to do a SECOND painting. I couldn't believe it. Two of my big paintings would be hanging in a public space... what!
I was honestly just so chuffed seeing something that I had made hang on the wall of such a cool space, for the world to see.
I am so proud of myself and how far I have come mentally. A few years ago I would not have believed I was capable of that or that anyone would be interested in my work. So it really is proof to myself that if I keep going, keep working hard and keep saying yes to amazing opportunities, instead of cowering away, I can make this dream a reality.
I can't wait to show you what I'm working on next and for you to get your hands on my two latest prints - 'Never Out of Wine' and 'Dancing with Tequila'.
So far, I have been embracing October and the colder evenings with lots of dog walks, cooking, doodling just because and visiting friends. I've just come back from a very wholesome trip to Bristol visiting school friends, which was a real treat. Stay tuned for more updates!
